Doggie Doors Information
Doggie doors have most of the same features that cat doors do in general, but doggie doors are generally larger in size. Every doggie door we sell swings easily in both directions, letting your dog both in and out whenever they want.
The general trend in pet doors is that doggie doors tend to come with soft flaps and cat doors tend to come with rigid flaps. Dogs and cats can use both rigid or soft flaps equally well. If you own both dogs and cats it is important that you consider both when purchasing your pet door. A determined cat will be able to push open just about any pet door we have, so if you have an indoor cat and an indoor/outdoor dog you might consider an electronic dog door to keep the cat inside. If the dog and the cat are good buddies, the electronic doors won't keep the cat in. They take time to close, so if you have a cat that will go out right after the dog NASCAR style, they will get out.
