Product Overview

This is the replacement flap and the surrounding plastic frame for the Ideal pet door that comes in the Ideal Fast Fit and Ideal Fast Sash pet doors.

Ideal dog door replacement flaps are available separately if your plastic frame is still in good shape. Ideal has discontinued the old style flaps and frames. The new style has a round logo in the flap a few inches from the top. The older style usually says "Made in USA" right on the flap and has the size printed right on it. The parts are NOT interchangeable. If you have an older Ideal pet door, Fast Fit, or Fast Sash it will have to be replaced.

    I had to make this product work. It should have just fit. It came with no screws for the flap and the flap bar had no way to stay within the frame. Super frustrating, especially since it. was supposed to be an exact replacement. It also came with no inside door closure that you slide in. I spent 63$. on this. Disappointing but the only product to fit and replace and Ideal Pet has no way to directly order from them.

    PDS NOTE--It sounds like you had the earlier style door and that's why the later frame w/flap didn't fit right. They stopped producing the earlier style, so this was probably still the best option. Ideal doesn't sell locking covers through distributors but you can buy one from them, their phone is 800-378-4385.

    fast shipping fit perfect only wish it came with new screws
